Miscellaneous £5 10s 6d External License by Mr Wroughton the Second issued by the Lord Chamberlain A dedicated "Licenses" section at the end of this account book records this payment as "By License of the Lyceum". An earlier payment (24 March 1809), "Mr. Mash Licence", £5 10s, is reproduced in a dedicated "Opera House" section at the end of this account book as "Licence". Hence it appears that the license paid for on 24 March was for the right to perform at the opera house, that on 6 May to perform at the Lyceum, and neither was for specific dramatic pieces.
