Actors £25 Internal Mrs. Jordan's Ratio The account book ceases to record dates after 19 June 1809, which, although probably not the correct date for most of the ensuing payments, has here been supplied as a stopgap. The "Ratio[s]" were the salary deductions that had been applied after the Drury Lane fire for the rest of the 1808-09 season, which were recorded and totalled in a dedicated section of the account book in question, ff. 101v-105r. Mrs Jordan's payment here suggests that the amounts deducted were paid to the deductees at the end of the season, as do the other relevant payments recorded around the same time: "By Payment of different Ratios as Pr. Account in this Journal", £1065 10s 6d, and "Paid to complete the Ratio", £2 8s 9d, the latter corresponding to a record at the end of the deduction section (f. 105r), "The Ratio comes to more than the Draft", £2 8s 9d. Presumably by mistake, the £2 8s 9d payment was then replicated at the end of the expense records, "general ratio calculated short", with both £2 8s 9d figures added into the running total of expenditure. (There were also four payments of 27 May 1809 involving the phrase, "Mrs. Mountain's Salary returnd", and one of 19 June 1809, "Do. [Mr. Wroughton] for Mrs. Mountain's Salary which was charged 12/6 each night more in the Benefit Charge than the Committee think shou'd be", which seem to relate to the deductions in some way too, but exactly how is unclear.)

Employees (Other) £1,065 10s 6d Internal By Payment of different Ratios as Pr. Account in this Journal Pence figure is in fact 6.5, but the half pence has not been here recorded. The account book ceases to record dates after 19 June 1809, which, although probably not the correct date for most of the ensuing payments, has here been supplied as a stopgap. The "Ratios" were the salary deductions applied after the Drury Lane fire for the rest of the 1808-09 season, which were recorded and totalled in a dedicated section of the account book in question, ff. 101v-105r. Presumably this record shows that the amounts deducted were paid to the deductees at the end of the season. Initially, however, the calculations were erroneous or there were insufficient funds; additional payments were subsequently made, "Mrs. Jordan's Ratio", £25, and "Paid to complete the Ratio", £2 8s 9d, the latter corresponding to a record at the end of the deduction section (f.
Employees (Other) £2 8s 9d Internal Paid to complete the Ratio The account book ceases to record dates after 19 June 1809, which, although probably not the correct date for most of the ensuing payments, has here been supplied as a stopgap. The "Ratio" was the sum of salary deductions that had been applied after the Drury Lane fire for the rest of the 1808-09 season, which were recorded and totalled in a dedicated section of the account book in question, ff. 101v-105r. This payment follows two others, "By Payment of different Ratios as Pr. Account in this Journal", £1065 10s 6d, and "Mrs. Jordan's Ratio", £25; together, the records presumably show that the amounts deducted were paid to the deductees at the end of the season. Multiple payments were needed because, initially, the calculations were erroneous or there were insufficient funds; a record at the end of the deduction section (f. 105r) states, "The Ratio comes to more than the Draft", £2 8s 9d.
Employees (Other) £2 13s 4d Internal Mrs. Mudie Listed under "4 Days Payment made to". The account book ceases to record dates after 19 June 1809, which, although probably not the correct date for most of the ensuing payments, has here been supplied as a stopgap.
Employees (Other) £1 6s 8d Internal Mr. Simonet Listed under "4 Days Payment made to". The account book ceases to record dates after 19 June 1809, which, although probably not the correct date for most of the ensuing payments, has here been supplied as a stopgap. BD vol. 14, p. 78, states that this recipient was F(rancois?) Simonet, employed "probably as a musician". However, the Simonets were mostly a family of dancers, and payments to "Mr. Simonet" this season were made regularly, separate to payments to the band, so they cannot be confidently categorised.
Employees (Other) £2 Internal Mr. Chatterly & W Listed under "4. Days Payments made to". The account book ceases to record dates after 19 June 1809, which, although probably not the correct date for most of the ensuing payments, has here been supplied as a stopgap.

The account book ceases to record dates after 19 June 1809, which, although probably not the correct date for most of the ensuing payments, has here been supplied as a stopgap. Unknown recipient; perhaps Mrs Brady the barber.
Employees (Other) 13s 4d Internal Mr Green Listed under "4 Days Payments made to". The account book ceases to record dates after 19 June 1809, which, although probably not the correct date for most of the ensuing payments, has here been supplied as a stopgap. Recipient unclear.
Employees (Other) £2 8s 9d Internal general ratio calculated short The account book ceases to record dates after 19 June 1809, which, although probably not the correct date for most of the ensuing payments, has here been supplied as a stopgap. The "general ratio" was the sum of salary deductions that had been applied after the Drury Lane fire for the rest of the 1808-09 season, which were recorded and totalled in a dedicated section of the account book in question, ff. 101v-105r. It appears that, at the end of the season, the deductees were paid the amounts that had earlier been deducted from their salaries, yet this record or the payment it denotes was presumably a mistake, as it replicates a previous payment, "Paid more to complete the Ratio", £2 8s 9d. But both £2 8s 9d figures were included in the running total of expenditure.
House Servants (Other) £2 13s 4d Internal Mr Homan Listed under "4 Days Payments made to". The account book ceases to record dates after 19 June 1809, which, although probably not the correct date for most of the ensuing payments, has here been supplied as a stopgap.
