Category Amount Payment Type A/c book entry Notes
Performers (Other) £1 Internal Mr. Evans one Week after being Off List
Treasurers £1 5s Internal Dunn One week
Treasurers £1 1s Internal Dunn Saly.
Composers £20 External Mr. Florio for the Outlaws
Laundry and Dyeing £50 External Mr. Grubb advanced to Mr Wright for Savage This and another, related payment appear to have been accidentally entered twice in the account book, and, although the error was later noted, no deletion was made. On 11 (or perhaps 6) July 1799 is written, "Mr Grubb Advanced to Mr Wright for Savage", £50 (in the "Old Debt" column), then "Mr. Grubb", £8 (in the regular column). Next to these entries is a pencil note, "Vide next Page 8th Entd. twice". On the next page, under 8 July 1799, is written "Mr. Grubb advanced to Mr Wright for Savage", £50 (this time in the regular column), then "Mr. Do. [Grubb] Expences", £8. Next to the first of these entries is a pencil note, "Vide 6th.", which should probably read "Vide 11th." It therefore seems almost certain that £58 was paid to Grubb, rather than £116. Accordingly, only one pair of entries has here been recorded: the second pair, because slightly more detailed, seemingly related to an earlier date (8 July rather than 11 July), and neater and probably more accurate in assigning the whole £58 to the regular expenses column rather than putting the £50 in the "Old Debt" column.
