Benefit Payments £3 15s 2d Internal Paid Mr. Quick Quick was paid a "Benefit Ballce." on 16 June 1794, then this additional sum eleven days later. It has been interpreted here as further payment of his benefit due, because of when and how much was paid, and because, the previous season, Quick had been paid both a "balance" and a second payment (of £3 6s 8d, i.e. a similar amount to this 1793-94 payment) "to make up his over charge on his Night".

Unknown £50 Unknown Paid Thos. Harris Esqr. [per] Mr. Brandon A note has been written in different, fainter ink, though apparently by the same scribe, beneath this entry, "N B. This should have been enterd on the Journal in Sepr. last." However, it is not clear whether it relates to this expense or to one of the other pieces of information written beneath or besides it on the page. "Brandon" could be James Brandon the housekeeper/boxkeeper or John Brandon the treasurer; the payment could be for salary, or for Brandon's disbursements or departmental expenses.
