Scene Painters £16 16s Internal Mr: Barzago Painter
Miscellaneous £10 10s 6d Internal Music &c. The term "Music &c." was used in this account book to cover daily payments to the band, the properties department and a kettle drummer. Comparison with other account books suggests that the bulk of the money (generally 80-90%) went to the band, 5s went to the kettle drummer and the rest of the money went to the properties.
Unknown £80 Unknown Mr Wood by Certificate BD vol. 16, pp. 233-4 lists a John Francis Wood, organist and violinist, who played in Covent Garden's oratorio bands 1793-1800, but it seems unlikely that he was the main paid here; more likely the recipient was William or Benjamin Wood(s), paid in relation to Thomas Harris on several occasions between 1785 and 1798.
Unknown £340 4s 6d Unknown Paid Mr. Saunders, one of his Bills taking the discount A Mr Saunders was regularly paid large amounts of money in the 1790s, seemingly as loan repayments or for some other financial arrangement, but it is hard to be sure.
