Unclear which Street was being paid here: could be either Thomas Sreet the messenger, Street who was paid for dyeing feathers on 15 January 1785, Street the draper (who may have been the same as the feather-dyer) paid on 22 February 1786, or Augustus Street the man's mercer frequently paid large sums between 4 February 1789 (or earlier) and (to his executors) 15 June 1803 (at least two of whom were probably the same person). BD vol. 14, p. 318 states that this payment was to Thomas Street, but provides no evidence for the identification. |
