Unknown £30 Unknown Mr. Thompsons Draft. Perhaps John Thompson. He was a box officekeeper by the 1789-90 season, but at this stage his only certain activity was disbursing money to (and perhaps more generally managing, or being part of) the supernumeraries. However, the sum involved here is fairly high, so this may have been a different Thompson, perhaps external to the theatre; Drury Lane paid a smith named Mr Thompson, and sellers of music paper named Messieurs Thompson, in the 1780s.
