Renters' Shares £9 6s External Paid Mr: Garton the Renters Money Covent Garden commenced this season following their conventional practice of paying Mr Garton renters' money nightly, but, after two nights, changed its practice and (on 27 September 1782) reclaimed the £18 12s already paid him. It then paid him £1582 on 21 June 1783 and an additional £19 4s on 30 June for renters. Thus the payment here recorded did not, in fact, reach the renters' hands.
