Housekeeping £15 18s 6d Departmental Paid Mr: Leake for Incidents, as Pr: Do: [Bill] Mr Leake does not seem to be noticed in BD, either as Leak(e) or Leek(e). He was paid several times over the 1776-77 season, and the payments suggest him to have been a housekeeper. There is a small chance that he was the Covent Garden proprietor, James Leake, who otherwise does not seem to have been much active in the theatre's affairs.
