By Mr Weller for Extrary Attendce. in getting the Fair ready |
Mr Weller was an actor and dancer. BD vol. 15, p. 339 states that he was not listed in the initial playbills for The Fair, then was listed in it from 28 January 1760. But the nature of his "Extrary Attendce." is unclear. |

Austin's daily rate was 2s when he only painted, 2s 6d when he also snuffed candles, hence the categorisation as "Employees (Other)". |

By Mr Kemp 13 Nights from the 1st. to the 15th. inst. at £1: 12: |
This payment was accidentally duplicated on 8 January 1760, with an incorrect date: "Mr Kemp for Lamps 13th. Nights from 1st. to the 13 Decr. '59 at £1: 12:". A later note added to that entry reads "Error see fol 21. Deducted fol 54.". On folio 21 appears this payment of 29 December 1759; on folio 54 appears a deduction from the total expenses, "Mr Kemp on 5 Janry last", £20 16s. Neither the duplicate nor the deduction have been recorded here. |

By Do. [Mr. Austin] [per] bill |
Austin was paid a weekly bill, probably for painting room supplies. However, only the record of 12 November 1757 specifies "a Bill for Collours &ca.", and Austin began to be paid for candle-snuffing duties from the 1759-60 season onwards, so most of his bill payments cannot be confidently categorised. |
