Musicians (Band) £4 18s 4d Internal By Band of Musick

Hair, Beards and Wigs £1 12s Internal By Barber 6 Nights Account book records around this time are inconsistent as to whether a "barber" or "barbers" were weekly paid; this season's alternative account book (BL Eg. 2270), and the majority of records in the 1758-59 account book, specify "Barbers". It seems likely that CG's main barber, Mr Horsfall (Hursfall in BD vol. 8, p. 57), was paid money to distribute to other barbers.

Carpentry and Sceneshifting £9 1s 8d Departmental By Mr. Geo: Powell for Carpenters [per] bill
Properties 7s 10d Departmental By Properties
Scene Painters £1 Internal By Mr. Dall on Accot. of Salary

Management £6 Internal By Mr. C. Rich 6 Nights
Management £31 10s Internal By Mrs. Rich 6 Nights
Unknown £1 18s 4d Unknown By Do. [Mr. Austin] [per] bill A marginal note reads, "wanting", with what may be a tick before it. Austin was paid a weekly bill, probably for painting room supplies. However, only the record of 12 November 1757 specifies a "bill for Colours", and Austin began to be paid for candle-snuffing duties from the 1759-60 season onwards, so most of his bill payments cannot be confidently categorised.
Renters' Shares £30 External By Mr. Powell for Rent of Old Shares At the end of this account book is a deduction of £59 4s from the running total of expenditure, described: "From which deduct £59. being so much Charged on the 29th. April last for Rent, Taxes &ca. and not paid". In keeping with this narrative, it looks as though the "4" was added to the shillings column at a later time. It seems almost certain that the unpaid expenses were to Mr Powell for rent of old shares, £30; to Mr Powell for rent of new shares, £29; and two payments of one night's rent, 2s, each, to Tabitha Mendez and Susannah White, which comprise the 4s afterthought. Nonetheless, these payments have been retained here, and the deduction entered as a receipt, to maintain consistency with the account book.
