Musicians (Band) £4 18s 4d Internal By Band of Musick
Wardrobe (Other) £2 4s Departmental By Wardrobe bill
Properties 3s 6d Departmental By Properties
Scene Painters £30 Internal By Mr. Wilford Painter on Accot. There is an unclear marginal note, which may read "Voucher W. g.", and may relate to either this or the following entry. Presumably this payment was for scene painting, although in the 1760-61 season he was regularly paid for painting the theatre.
Printing £82 4s 6d External By Mr Woodfall [per] bill to 28th. Decr. last
Unknown £4 Unknown By Mr. Abra. Martin [per] Rect. There is an unclear marginal note, which may read "Voucher W. g.", and may relate to either this or the preceding entry. BD vol. 10, pp. 111-12 only notices one Marten at CG at this time, John, serving both as actor and (it speculates) wardrobe keeper. In fact the picture was more complicated. Account books mention "Robt." and "Abraham" Marten in the late 1750s, and list a Mrs Marten, dresser, at the start of the 1760-61 season. Robert appears to have been the wardrobe keeper; Abraham's occupation is unclear.
