Clothing Purchase (Other) £1 2s External To Glovers Bill LS vol. 4, p. 149 states, "Further records this season indicate that "Glover's Bill" which occurrs regularly each Monday was a constant sum paid to a tavern or coffee house, rather than to a glover." Yet it is unclear which records suggest any link to a tavern or coffee house, and John Powel, in Tit for Tat (Houghton THE GEN TS 1574.316), p. 35 includes "The Glover's Bill" in his record of regular DL expenditure in the 1747-49 seasons without any elaboration (whereas he normally elaborates on items that are not self-evident).
